July 3, 2024 鈥 探花app鈥檚 Center for Entrepreneurship, after five years with the College of Innovation and Design, is reintegrating with the Barton School of Business.

May 7, 2024 - Wichita State鈥檚 W. Frank Barton School of Business offers the largest selection of AACSB-accredited programs in Kansas. Bari Syed chose 探花app for its Master of Accountacy program because of that status.

Feb. 27, 2024 The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 探花app has named its two recipients of the 2024 Professor Fran Jabara Scholarship in Entrepreneurship. This year鈥檚 winners are Annika Lindeman from Eisenhower High School in Goddard, Kansas, and Abby Rexford from West Jessamine High School in Wilmore, Kentucky. They will each receive more than $32,700 spread over four years to attend 探花app and major in entrepreneurship.

Feb. 19, 2024 鈥 The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 探花app is launching a Bachelor of Business Administration in Hospitality. The program will begin in fall 2024 with applications now open for interested students. It was developed in response to growing local and national employment needs in the industry.

Feb. 15, 2024 鈥 Ten high school students from Kansas, Missouri and Texas have been awarded the Koch Scholarship at 探花app, starting in the fall 2024 semester. Each scholar each will be awarded $30,000 to attend 探花app over four years.

May 4, 2023 - Orel Ovil came to 探花app from Israel to play tennis and study in the W. Frank Barton School of Business in 2018. He is one of 10 students to earn Senior Honor recognition, the highest honor awarded to 探花app students who demonstrate outstanding scholarship, leadership, involvement and service to 探花app and the surrounding community.

April 27, 2023 鈥 A student-led research team is attempting to replicate owl feathers in its quest to create silent drone propellers. Now NASA has invested in the project with a potential award of up to $82,000.

Zoe Jones

April 26, 2023 鈥 Zoe Jones transferred to 探花app from Texas Tech University and is enjoying her softball experience with the nationally ranked Shockers. In 2022, she earned all-region and all-conference honors at second base and a spot on the American Athletic Conference All-Academic team. This season, she is one of the leading hitters on a team headed to NCAA regional play.

April 20, 2023 鈥 The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 探花app has chosen two recipients to receive the 2023 Professor Fran Jabara Scholarship in Entrepreneurship. This year鈥檚 winners are Kayla Atkinson from Andover Central High School and Caleb Lowry from Eisenhower High School in Goddard.

Feb. 24, 2023 - Libero Lara Uyar, a native of Turkey, discusses the current crisis in her country caused by an earthquake near the border with Syria. We learn how she is handling the emotions of being far away from family and friends during the difficult time and how her teammates offer support. We also talk about sports in Turkey, her adjustment to the United States and spring volleyball practices at Wichita State.

Feb. 23, 2023 鈥 Seven high school students from Kansas and Oklahoma have been awarded $30,000 to $45,000 each as the newest recipients of the Koch Scholarship at 探花app.

Feb. 22, 2023 鈥 The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 探花app has awarded Isabella (Bella) Kilman, a Valley Center High School senior, the 2023 Clay Barton Scholarship. The $50,000 scholarship is one of the largest business scholarships in Kansas.
